More baking

Second part of my Father’s day baking! A day late but I was otherwise engaged yesterday afternoon (having a nap, naturally) so I couldn’t make them then. They’re sugar and spice muffins; ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg with sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top of the muffin mix. Really good if you don’t have much butter or many eggs but desperately want some cake.
My day has been spent crocheting (a cushion cover for our living room, Mum and I are on a mission to make it look fabulously home-made), watching a film (Celeste and Jesse Forever, which is surprisingly sweet and funny for a film about divorce) and filling in application forms for volunteer jobs so I don’t get ridiculously bored this summer. Oh the excitement!

Father’s Day

My dad’s not particularly into Father’s Day but he asked me if I’d make him some ginger biscuits. They’re really easy to make but delicious! I added a bit of cinnamon to the mix and only cooked them briefly so they’re quite chewy, which is how Dad prefers them.
